itravel tee off for breast cancer research

The third itravel NBCF Golf Day was held on Thursday 20th April 2017 at the Boonie Doon Golf Club and was another great success! The event was first held in 2015 and has since become the must-attend golf event in the travel industry, which attracts all golf lovers from young & old, to male & female each year.

This year over 120 players from the travel industry stepped onto the fairway at Boonie Doon Golf Club to tee off for breast cancer research. The day included a social round of golf, raffles, auctions and various fundraising activities at the holes which were generously sponsored by teams from the travel industry. The pink dress code was well celebrated by all players who dressed up their golf carts and showed off their best pink outfits, ranging from pink socks to pink angel wings.

“itravel has been a proud patron of National Breast Cancer Foundation for over 3 years.  It’s close to our hearts – the travel industry is predominately female and there are very few that haven’t been touched by breast cancer. That is evident in the huge turnout and support itravel receives at our annual golf day,” says Steve Labroski, Managing Director of itravel.

Thanks to the incredible fundraising efforts on the day, over $23,600 was raised for breast cancer research. We would like to say a huge thank you to itravel who raised over $80,000 for life-changing breast cancer research over the years and everyone who dressed up in pink and showed their support!

Through the tireless and continuous support of itravel, the National Breast Cancer Foundation can fund more life-changing research into the detection, prevention and better treatments for breast cancer.
