Will I receive a receipt for my donation?

Yes. The National Breast Cancer Foundation will issue tax-deductible receipts for all donations over $2.00.

Is my donation tax deductible?

To be eligible to claim your donation as a tax deduction, the donation must be;

  • Two dollars ($2.00) or more and;
  • The recipient charity must be endorsed by the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) as a deductible gift recipient (DGR) organisation.
  • The deduction must be claimed in your tax return for the income year in which the donation was made.

The National Breast Cancer Foundation (ABN 37 144 841 707) has been endorsed by the Australian Taxation Office as a deductible gift recipient (DGR) organisation.

Why can’t I claim raffle tickets, auction prizes as a tax deduction?

Unfortunately, we are unable to give taxation advice but according to the Australian Taxation Office, where a material benefit is received (i.e raffle or event tickets or merchandise like pens or chocolate), unfortunately you are not entitled to claim the contribution as a tax deductible gift.
