February 28th, 2015

The National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) is delighted to announce that we have appointed Professor Sally Redman AO as NBCF Board Director and Chair of the Research Advisory Committee (RAC).

Serving nearly 13 years as CEO of the Sax Institute, the national leader in promoting the use of research evidence in health policy, Sally joins us with extensive experience in public health research and an interest in evaluating programs designed to improve health and health care.

Sally has authored over 180 publications in peer reviewed journals and currently leads an NHMRC Centre for Research Excellence in increasing the use of research evidence in policy.

In her previous role as inaugural Director of the National Breast Cancer Centre, she received the Centenary Medal for service to women diagnosed with breast cancer.

“We are pleased that Sally will be joining NBCF during a critical period of growth,” says Elaine Henry, Chair.

“The Board is confident that she will bring a wealth of knowledge and energy and help NBCF continue working towards our goal of zero deaths from breast cancer by 2030.”
