A special note from NBCF Chair, Elaine Henry OAMFebruary 14th, 2016
We are delighted to share with you, that following a comprehensive search, Dr Sarah Hosking joins the National Breast Cancer Foundation as Chief Executive Officer today, 15 February 2016.
Sarah joins us from not-for-profit Very Special Kids, where she was CEO for three years. Sarah is a natural fit for the National Breast Cancer Foundation as a leader with inspired vision, enthusiasm and determination. Sarah has extensive health sector knowledge, combined with a proven track record in organisational development.
Sarah will use these abilities to bring the National Breast Cancer Foundation closer to our goal of zero deaths from breast cancer by 2030, and will lead a dedicated and talented team of senior managers and staff as NBCF enters this exciting new phase.
During 2014/15 NBCF awarded $10.5 million in new research funding, and grew our supporter base by more than 45,000 individuals. With more than $12 million being awarded in 2016 to more than 30 research projects, the organisation is on track to continue to fund innovative and impactful research, with your support.
Sarah is looking forward to building on these successes and ensuring NBCF invests in vital research that will make important advances in our understanding of breast cancer.
We invite you to join us in welcoming Sarah and we look forward to working with you again for another successful year.
