Take Control Now campaign
To celebrate 16 years of supporting breast cancer charities globally, ghd have partnered with 11 incredible women who were diagnosed with breast cancer before the age of 35 to share this message, including Brisbane local 25 year old Sofi Leota who was diagnosed 2 years ago (2018) with Grade 3 invasive breast cancer at only 23 years of age. Sofi had a mastectomy on her right breast and underwent surgery to clear lymph nodes out. Following the surgery she had 2 x egg retrieval procedures, 16 rounds of chemotherapy and 5 weeks of radiation. Sofi has been in remission since the 8th January 2019, the day her radiation finished. You may recognise Sofi as her partner is Joe Ofahengauea Brisbane Broncos player.
