If we're going to end deaths from breast cancer, we need to be able talk about it on many levels. By sharing breast cancer stories, we can help each other. Cancer affects us all in different ways. By sharing our experiences, we can help others to cope with what they're going through.
Mark and Laura have been kind enough to share their story.
ANNI'S BREAST CANCER STORY
Anni was a wife, a mother and an inspiration. Knowing how painful it is to lose someone you love to breast cancer, Mark and Laura wanted to share Anni's story. Their hope is that it will encourage more women to check themselves and promote early detection.
The more lives that are saved with early detection, the fewer families that will experience the pain of losing somebody they love.
"As someone who has watched the person I loved more than any other finally succumb to this terrible disease, I know how important research has been in providing hope and choices to those with breast cancer." - Mark, wife diagnosed with breast cancer in 2000

WANTED TO SHARE ANNI'S
BREAST CANCER STORY
"The thought of people going through
what we've been through really hurts "
For Mark and Laura, it hasn't been easy to share their breast cancer story. But, they are motivated by their hurt and loss to try and a make a difference wherever possible. And if just one person goes to see their doctor because of their video, it will all be worthwhile.
Mark believes that early detection would have saved Anni's life.
