Alternative Title: Using a decision aid to help women with breast cancer make decisions regarding reconstructive surgery
Breast reconstruction aims to recreate a breast shape for women following mastectomy. The decision about reconstructive surgery is difficult due to time pressures and the complexity of information to consider.
Dr Sherman investigates an online decision support tool to help women to make this decision, reduce feelings of conflict and increase satisfaction. It will offer benefits to breast cancer patients by increasing the support available when making these difficult decisions.
