National Breast Cancer Foundation supporter and breast cancer survivor, Sandra Harding has firsthand experience of the role and importance of research in trying to win the fight against breast cancer.

Following her breast cancer surgery, Sandra took part in an NBCF-funded research programme. She decided to put her experience to use and became a member of the Speakers’ Bureau in 2008.

Since then Sandra has worked tirelessly to raise much needed funds for NBCF as a member of the Sunshine Coast Queensland committee. Over the years she has coordinated and organised numerous events from Fun Runs to Winter Festivals, not to mention the spectacular Pink October event which is held in Noosa.

Sandra’s dedication to our cause comes from NBCF’s aspirational goal – “I believe Zero Deaths from breast cancer will come about sooner than we think, with funds raised going towards developing earlier detection, prevention and the ultimate cure.”
