A greater understanding of the risk factors for developing breast cancer will be key to prevention, and ultimately eradicating breast cancer.
Early detection of breast cancer is key to saving lives.
New therapies or new applications for existing therapies is the key to improving patient’s outcomes
With more breast cancer survivors than ever before, maintaining a positive quality of life is a crucial part of treatment outcomes
Because research gets results.
When the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) was founded in 1994, nearly 25 per cent of all women diagnosed with breast cancer died from the disease within five years of diagnosis.
Since then, survival rate has steadily improved. Now, 91 per cent of women are still alive five years post diagnosis.
NBCF believes this achievement is due to research — the most effective way to improve the prevention, detection and treatment of breast cancer.
Although progress is being made, there is still a long way to go.
And we won’t stop until it is solved. By making a donation today, you’ll be funding research to stop deaths from breast cancer.
It’s not every day that you’re able to do something so amazing. Make today that day.
