Gifts in Wills

One in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. The National Breast Cancer Foundation’s goal is to reduce the impact of breast cancer through research and stop deaths from breast cancer. If you share this vision, then please consider leaving a gift to the National Breast Cancer Foundation in your Will, and help us work towards a future without breast cancer.

This long-term vision highlights why a gift in your Will is such a unique opportunity to make a difference beyond your lifetime. A gift for the benefit of future generations. To find out more information about leaving a gift in your Will, download our booklet.

“My mother was 64 when she passed away from breast cancer. Mum received great care and support during her treatment. Leaving a bequest is my way of giving something back and supporting breast cancer research for future generations.”

How to leave a gift in your Will

It is important to have a Will to ensure your estate is given to the people and causes you most care about. Making or updating your Will need not be expensive or complicated but you should seek legal advice and talk through how you wish your estate to be distributed. Reviewing your Will every few years is also important as circumstances change throughout your life such as marriage, sale of a property, birth of children or grandchildren.

Research Guardian stories

“Cancer has affected many members of my family, my sister and my niece have both battled breast cancer. I don’t want to see any more members of my family go through the worry and pain that they did and leaving a gift in my Will is one way in which I can help support research into the future to help beat this disease.” – Norman

“I work in a doctor’s surgery and sadly all too often I see the affect breast cancer has on other families, so therefore it is important to me to be a regular supporter and leaving a gift in my Will to the National Breast Cancer Foundation is one way to help support research and the fight against this terrible disease.” – Glenda
