CIRCLE OF GIVING

NBCF funds the most brilliant research and researchers in Australia. Each year approximately 15-22 research projects are selected through a lengthy and rigorous, peer and consumer reviewed selection process. NBCF has the highest application success rate in the sector of between 20-25% of all applications.

The purpose of the NBCF Circle of Giving is for influential, philanthropically-minded women who have a strong vision to invest in world-class breast cancer research to form a funding Circle for a specific research project.

Through a number of small intimate groups of like-minded individuals, research projects are presented to the group, and voted on to align with and support. The members then go on a journey with the chosen researcher, the senior management of the NBCF including the Director of Research Investment, the CEO and the Chair, with private cocktail parties, behind-the-scenes research institute lab tours, researcher presentations and updates and other bespoke events throughout the year.

Members are encouraged to invite guests and partners with the aim to expand the support base and to hear insights and updates on breast cancer issues and medical advances.

Through this patronage, the Circle members have a powerful impact in changing the future of breast cancer in Australia, and are supporting NBCF’s vision of Zero Deaths from breast cancer.

The first Circle was launched in Sydney in 2015. It has since expanded into a national initiative which continues to invest in Australia’s world-class researchers leading game-changing breast cancer research in Australia.

MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION

Members of the Circle of Giving aim to collectively fund a breast cancer medical research project of their choosing that resonates with the members and has been endorsed by our scientific peer-review committee.

We currently have established Circles of Giving in Sydney eastern suburbs, Gold Coast and Brisbane, and Melbourne eastern suburbs with a vision to expand across the country.

The Circle of Giving members experience first-hand the brilliance of medical research, through an up-close and personal journey with the project leaders.

The full membership contribution is $10,000 per annum and donations are a fully tax-deductible gift to NBCF.

We welcome members to engage their friends and larger networks to patron world class Australian research.
