Carolyn Scobie appointed to National Breast Cancer Foundation Board

The National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) today announces the appointment of Carolyn Scobie as a Non-Executive Director to its Board.

“The NBCF Board is delighted to welcome Carolyn Scobie, who brings outstanding senior legal and governance experience across ASX-listed global organisations, combined with a genuine commitment to the for-purpose sector,” said Adj Professor Helen Zorbas AO, NBCF Chair.

“Carolyn’s extensive governance experience across both corporate and not-for-profit organisations will bring deep insights to help guide strategy and steward NBCF to deliver on our Vision of Zero Deaths from breast cancer.”

Carolyn brings more than 30 years’ experience as a senior legal and governance leader in complex, ASX-listed multinational organisations. She is currently Group General Counsel and Company Secretary of QBE Insurance Group, where she leads global legal strategy and governance.

Alongside her executive career, Carolyn has a strong track record in the not-for-profit sector, including previously serving as Deputy Chair of Bridge Housing. She is currently a director of the Sydney Peace Foundation and a member of the People, Governance and Nominations Committee of Chief Executive Women.

Prior to joining QBE, Carolyn spent 17 years as Group General Counsel at Goodman Group, supporting operations across multiple international markets.
