Strides that save lives: New York Marathon

When Madeleine crossed the finish line of the New York City Marathon, she wasn’t just completing 42.2km – she was carrying the hopes for everyone affected by breast cancer.

“Today was phenomenal. New York had their arms around 55,000 runners… they made us all feel like rock stars.” said Madeleine

Every step she took helped drive world-class research forward.

Alongside her fellow runners supporting the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF), the journey was emotional, inspiring and deeply personal. “This has been an experience I will hold close in my heart always,” Madeleine said. From months of training to powerful fundraising efforts, their dedication shone through.

Thanks to the resilience and heart of our NBCF marathon team, we are one step closer to Zero Deaths from breast cancer.
