Our Partner: David Jones
David Jones is committed to making a valuable contribution to Australian society through the support of philanthropic causes that are important to shareholders, customers and employees.
David Jones recognise that women’s health is important to our shareholders, customers and employees and more often than not, most people have been affected directly or indirectly by cancer.
Each year, David Jones host a number of fundraising initiatives in order to continue to support the National Breast Cancer Foundation’s research programs. During October breast cancer awareness month, Pink Ribbon merchandise is sold and donations taken in all David Jones stores. Further contributions are made to the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) from the sale of David Jones Charity Bear, staff fundraising events and all profits from sales during our Shop Pink Donation day across 38 stores nationally.
As an extension of their service to customers David Jones has opened Rose Clinics in the following stores; Elizabeth Street – Sydney, Bourke Street – Melbourne, QueensPlaza – Brisbane and Hay Street Mall – Perth, which provide free breast checks for women over 40 years.
Aligning with NBCF allows David Jones to make a valuable social contribution to Australian society while extending our reach and strengthening our bond with our customers and employees.
“David Jones has been associated with the National Breast Cancer Foundation for 20 years, which demonstrates the strength of our partnership, and we are committed to providing the necessary awareness and sponsorship contributions for breast cancer research.” David Robinson, Group Executive – Marketing, Financial Services & Customer Innovation
