Join Samantha in the 2026 Mother’s Day Classic for breast cancer research

Since 1998, the Mother’s Day Classic has played a vital role in raising awareness and essential funds for world-class breast cancer research.

After another outstanding event in 2025, donating $3.5 million to breast and ovarian cancer research, the 2026 event brings added excitement with a brand-new half marathon in Melbourne for those ready to take on an extra challenge.

Hear from Samantha, diagnosed in January 2019:

“I was diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer (TNBC) in January 2019. Four months into chemotherapy, I participated in my first Mother’s Day Classic, supported by family and friends. The Mother’s Day Classic continues to provide hope. I had no family history of breast cancer, and like so many women, I was fit and healthy – the discovery of a lump in my breast on New Year’s Eve was an unexpected start to a new year. The Mother’s Day Classic raises valuable funds for breast and ovarian cancer research and brings together a sea of participants focused on improving outcomes for people impacted by these diseases. The message of hope is strong and I am proud to be a Community Ambassador.”
