Shout a Pink Ribbon in memory of Rosa Martino

In an emotional series of The Block, Victorian couple Bec and George have pledged their support to the National Breast Cancer Foundation in memory of Bec’s mother, Rosa Martino.

Rosa, affectionately known as ‘Mama-Block’ bravely battled breast cancer for five years before tragically losing her battle with the disease while Bec was competing on Nine’s hit renovation reality series.

Bec is now motivated to help NBCF however she can. “…I just can’t wait to get on board and help them reach that goal [of Zero Deaths from breast cancer]”, she said.

“I don’t want anyone else to go through what I’ve gone through, what George has now gone through twice, because he lost his mother in the same way.”

“I’m excited to see how much we can get Australia together to not only honour my mum but to help all those women who are going through what my mum went through.”

To celebrate Rosa’s life and help raise vital funds for research into a cure, NBCF, Shout and The Block have teamed up to encourage people to donate to NBCF in memory of Rosa via the Shout App.
