A web-based intervention to reduce distress and improve quality of life among younger women with breast cancer: a randomised control trial testing the effectiveness of a web-based program in improving quality of life and reducing anxiety for younger women with breast cancer

Priority-driven Collaborative Cancer Research Scheme (PdCCRS)

A population sample of women with breast cancer aged 50 or younger, and 6 months post diagnosis, will be randomly allocated to receive standard care or participate in an innovative web intervention to address unmet supportive care needs.

Participants allocated to the intervention will complete an online needs assessment and will receive tailored strategies to address specific problems they have identified. Anxiety and quality of life will be compared between the groups at 3 and 9 months follow up.

This project is co-funded by NBCF and Cancer Australia.
