Finish Year: 2012
Chief Investigator: Associate Professor Christine Clarke
Institution: Westmead Institute for Cancer Research
The Breast Cancer Tissue Bank consists of stored breast cancers and blood, together with accurate, prospectively tracked, clinical data on each specimen. Research that is facilitated by this resource will lead to improved patient selection for treatment, returning a significant humanitarian and cost saving benefit.
The Breast Cancer Tissue Bank aims to increase the value of the tissue collected by adding digital imagery of tissue, preparing tissue arrays and isolating DNA/RNA.
